The Rise of the Krox-i-Glow

NAF tournament players in the South of England will be familiar with the large frame and genial face of Glowworm, one of the few Blood Bowl players to have a prize named after him (as he kept coming 4th). Glow has been attending Thrudball for a few years, and this year wanted to do something a bit different...

Thrudball

Thrudball is a Thrud-themed Blood Bowl tournament run every year in Bognor Regis on the south coast of England by Frank Hill. With around 50 coaches attending, over the past years Thrudball and its associated shenanigans has raised over £15,000 for the Roy Castle lung cancer charity. Each year they have sponsored challenges (most Thrudlike!), a huge auction and 6 games of excellent Blood Bowl.

The Krox-i-Glow

This year, Glowworm will be raising money by wearing his most excellent, hot, sweaty, uncomfortable lizardman onesie for the whole of Thrudball. Not only this, because of the generosity of Blood Bowl coaches he also smashed his target and will also be wearing in the confines of the NAF Championships as well, and hopefully washing it in between those two events. His everpresent companion Buggrit has also converted and painted mini-Krox-i-glows, one of which willl will be a prize at Thrud this year.

What Can YOU Do?

As well as taking as many pics as possible of Glowworm in the full regalia, the most obvious way to help out is to sponsor him for his ridiculous exploits. Simply go to justgiving.com/glowworm and click away. Job done!

Here's a sneak preview of the Krox-i-glow fig work in progress:
