🚨 Important NAF Update 🚨
Following a thorough discussion among the NAF staff members, it has been voted by majority that our organization’s president, Shirokov, has been removed from office. The process was initiated by various members of the current NAF Committee following over a year of procedural disagreements and differing perspectives on leadership and responsibility. We thank Shirokov for his dedication and wish him success in his future endeavors.
In accordance with the charter and as a result of Shirokov’s removal, Hugo Rodrigo (Dreamscreator), the current NAF Vice President, will take over as President immediately. A new Vice President will be appointed soon, and we will share that information with you as soon as the selection is made.
Throughout this process, and even prior to it, it has become evident that some of our structures and procedures require reform to function effectively for an organization of our current size. Consequently, the Committee has requested the Board of Ethics, who have provided our Code of Conduct and valuable input over the past year, to initiate a review of our charter and identify any associated issues. The Board of Ethics has agreed to coordinate this process and have requested additional assistance from many of our dedicated and experienced coaches.
Stay tuned! In two weeks, the Board of Ethics will update us on the timeline and procedure. Our goal? To present a new and improved charter before the next presidential election, giving YOU the power to vote on it!
We appreciate your continued support and commitment to the NAF. Together, we will work towards a stronger and more effective organization. 💪
Hi all,
Its never nice to see someone lose a job and I hope that, whatever your personal stance on this situation is, you can take a moment remember that this has happened to people and people have feelings.
Personally, I want to thank Shirokov for giving up his time up till now to support the NAF. It’s a shame its come to this and an inclusive way forward couldnt be saught. Equally, since common ground could not be saught, I’m glad things have moved forwards.
While I do absolutely thank and acknowledge the hard work that currently goes on – for free – by everyone connected with the NAF, I hope that in the coming months or years someone with considerable free time and energy is able to further support the NAF and launch it back to the present day. For me, reimaginging the NAF model and the current state of the website would, I hope, be top priority objectives.
I’ve always supported Shirokov and his innovative vision for NAF, so it’s truly saddening to see him removed. I believed his ideas could have driven us toward a more modern and dynamic future, it’s unfortunate that differences prevented a more inclusive path forward. I appreciate all that Shirokov has done for the organization and hope his vision continues to inspire us. At the same time, I wish dreamscreator all the best and good luck in his new role as president.
‘See you on the playing fields.
Hello,
sad to see unplanned changes in the organization based on voluntary effort.
It is good to see you take it seriously and apply changes when they seem necessary.
You are an essential part of Blood Bowl. Thank you for your work.
