The all important Tournament Director election has started to determine the Tournament Director (TD) for the next two years. As usual, we start with collecting nominations for the position. Head to the NAF forum and post your favourite candidate’s name.
The NAF Tournament Director is one of the more time intensive positions and arguably one of the most important roles we have. Standing for this position should not be taken lightly. The tasks of the TD include:
- Direct, appoints, and trains coordinators
- Ensures events are approved in a timely manner
- Assists administrative officers with planning and initializing events
- Works with administrative officers to publicize events to club and general public
- Any other specific-needs as deemed by the NAF President
- Advises on NAF strategy and planning
The election schedule is as follows:
- Jan 1: Nomination phase start, forum thread will be opened
- Jan 9: Nomination phase end, Q&A phase starts
- Jan 16: Election phase start, polls open
- Jan 23: Election phase end, polls close, announcement of elected TD
