NAF Staff meeting 12th of July 2015
President:
Beppe gives us all a warm welcome and gives a special welcome to Steve. He is very happy to have added the League Director to the committee.
– World Cup – the state of things
FF fields has asked permission to create items to sell specifically during the World Cup. We decide that as long as the NAF logo is not used, the organizers should decide.
Current number of coaches: 925
– Website / software
Beppe has had a first version of the new tournament software to test. He found a few bugs together with Sann. Interaction with the NAF site and future database is included, even live during tournaments. Beppe will send the Beta version to the committee so we can test it. When the software is ready the programmers will go on to the site.
We discuss how communication between the meetings should take place. Email is hardly the ideal solution. A forum would be easier both to follow and to keep the discussion on topic. Currently there’s some confusion concerning the various users that have too many rights on the NAF forum. When this is settled the NAF forum becomes the best option.
Communications manager
Steve has been looking at the survey together with Mike. We realize the statistical value is quite low. Steve thinks a survey would help positioning us (NAF) within the world of Blood Bowl as a outgoing group that is interested in every Blood Bowl coach and their opinions. Also it can be used as a way to create awareness of certain features of NAF (tournament locator for example).
Steve and Mike made a draft and will delegate the different sections to the appropriate Directors and we’ll review the entire survey once we have the ful set of questions.
Beppe points out it could deliver interesting information about the (potential) membership.
League Director
Steve really looks forward to be of use to the NAF. He wants NAF to expand to focus efforts on how we can cater to the whole community . Via posters and other tools that will be made available to the membership with the NAF logo on it. We can help people by getting the right stuff to them and point them to the website. Maybe the focus of NAF should move from tournaments to community.
Membership Director
Mike also has several items that should be adressed once the building of the new website. Nate asks if all the gifts have been sent out within the US. All NTOs have packs and distribution has started.
Tournament Director
Variant games are not yet being flagged so that will have to be done manually, the new site will allow us to seperate them out. The variant draft rules are near completion.
Some coaches’ tournament results can’t be reported at the site. The tech group is working on it.
Tournament series medals are nearly done, they will be sent around once they’re ready.

August 30th, 20:00 CET
