The tenth Eurobowl takes place next month in Ostende, in Belgium, alongside the Europen. The hosts have put together a fantastic package in one hotel, with all food and gaming included, and as a result the weekend of 8-9 November will see 38 Europen teams of 3 and 17 National teams of 8 meet for a glorious weekend of Blood Bowl – that’s at least 250 coaches in one place, making this the biggest Blood Bowl event of the year!
There’s a lot to play for this year, with England as holders keen to retain their title, Italy looking to nudge ahead of them again as they are tied on 3 wins, and France keep up with the other big boys of European BB. But almost as keenly fought as the race to the title will be the race to host the next time, as the rules of the Eurobowl mean that the highest ranked team who has not previously hosted get to do so next time – Scotland, Wales and Sweden among others will be gunning for this honour.
The Belgians have also gone all out on goodies, with every participant getting a Eurobowl pitch and miniature, and a third special gift that will only be revealed on the weekend. There are trophies for the Eurobowl winners, Europen winners (pictured), best painted and many more.Keep up with all the gossip in many ways – see the history on the dedicated website at eurobowl.eu, inspect the list of registered coaches on TFF or chat about the event on Facebook. During the weekend there will no doubt be many online updates, all accessible through the Twitter account @OfficialNAF. It’s going to be awesome.
