Before exporting your tournament data to an XML file make sure the Score! file has accurate NAF names and numbers. It is possible to do it without the numbers, but things are a lot smoother with them.
When your event is complete, save the file. Click on File–> Create NAF Upload File. The program will ask for the start times of each round – these just need to be in chronological order. It is good practice to enter different start times for each round, as the matches can be easier identified later for potential corrections.
Score! will then open a file save dialog box. You may name the the file however you want. There is an example of the XML file here.
Head to the NAF tournament page and click Report Results next to the name of your tournament in the tournament listing.
The table labelled “Type in the usernames or membership numbers of the coaches you want to add” can be ignored if the Score! file is complete with NAF names and numbers.
Near the bottom is a section called Submit Data as XML. Click Choose File, select the file you saved previously. Click Upload Tournament Results. Finally check the results are correct when it displays them and click the Finalise button.
If it fails, checkĀ this page with common XML upload issues.
Relax and enjoy! It will take approximately one day for the rankings to be updated, which happens automatically.
