FAQsNAF MembershipNAF Membership Question
AnswerSimply select "Join the NAF" from the menu and you'll be taken through a few easy steps. Even a hobgoblin could do it. Also, many NAF tournaments will have a NAF representative present who will be able to sign you up on the spot. How long will it take to ship my membership packet? You can expect anywhere from 4 to 10 weeks, depending on several factors... including the distance from our headquarters and the busy lives of our volunteer staff. If you don't get your packet in 10 weeks, you should probably let us know by contacting one of the membership organisers, or posting on the forums. Please note, however, that the 10 weeks starts from when your account is fully updated with your correct address information - we can't send you anything if we don't know where you live! Whatever you do, please DO NOT post a question to the FAQ section asking about your membership package - we have no way of telling who sent the question and can't help you out! Are you going to allow me to buy membership without using Pay Pal? We would very much like to have a secure credit card payment system set up, but for now the only other way is to buy a membership at a tournament. How much does it cost to join the NAF? The cost is $10(US) annually. This cost helps cover of the website, special premiums and the cheer-leader outfits. You get: - Cool NAF exclusive blocking dice! edit -- we used to supply cards upto 2007 but that has since proved imnpracticable. However, over the years, the exclusive NAF block dice have become collectable! Is there any way I can track my Membership Kit? I cant wait for my dice! Sorry, we have no way to track your kit at the moment. You aren't special enough to have two accounts. If your account is messed up please pm or mail the staff. I didn't receive my activation code! What do I do? Some people (especially AOL users) aren't getting their activations codes by email because of paranoid spam filters on some ISPs. If you don't get your activation code, please contact the Membership Director from the Contact Us section. How can I find my member ID number before I have my membership card? If you signed up at a tournament then chances are you'll be a member of the site before you receive your official letter. To find your member number, simply check out the memberlist and look for your username. Ask a member of staff if you get stuck. Alternatively, you may have joined but not received your package but you then attend a tournament. You won't need your membership number as long as you make it clear to the organiser what your NAF username is/will be, and it might be worth telling your RTC too. What should I do if I have a membership question that isn't answered in these FAQs? The first thing you should do is check out the NAF forums, using the button at the top of the screen. There is a long topic in the comments section here that is regularly checked and you will get a fast answer. Alternatively, contact your regional tournament co-ordinator using the Private Message functionality. You can see who is a RTC from their avatars or signatures, and the PM button sends them a message. Check the Contact Us page too. Finally, if all else fails, email wodell.league@ntlworld.com, but please try the other methods first. Where do I go and pay to renew my for my membership? Click on the 'Membership Status' link on the left navigation menu. Why does it take so long to process my package? Roughly once a month, all members waiting packages (who's addresses are complete etc) go through processing. First of all, a print run of cards/letters and address labels is done in Canada. These are then sorted into regional packages and sent out to the USA, Australia and Europe. (Canadian packages go out from source). From there volunteers in each region make up the individual packages and ship them out to members. So the variable wait is dependent of when the sign up or renewal occurs, obviously a renewal or sign up that occurs just before a print run will wait up to a month less than one that occurs just after. Thanks for bearing with us. Update for 2007 -- the above has changed from 2005. Now the package is dice only and is shipped from the UK. there is a shipment about twice a month in 2007 so if you dont hear after 8 weeks go to the NAF comments section. When I renew my membership do I get the new color block dice? Yes you do. What is the way to know my Member Number? Goto Members List then select your name from "Online Users". It will bring up your personal details, including your Member number. The NAF package is now only dice although in the near future we will be using a PDF hello letter and "home printed" member card. You are correct, your sign up at the first time requires an address and we would have despatched your dice. If you have a problem, PM the membership sec who in March 07 is Lycos on the NAF and TBB boards. Follow the links: 'My Account' on the left toolbar then hit the 'Edit your Information' button. There was a delay in late 2006 getting the packs out Saskia. See the comments section for more information but your dice were sent on Jan 26th. I was wondering what the colour of the dice is The current colour is Green with Red insert. This is not the easist to see in my view so if you have them here is a tip. Take normal bright white paint and paint the face of the dice making sure you have the red covered. Wipe on normal kitchen towl. Leave to dry and in minutes you have clear white skulls on your Green dice! The development for incorporating the changes from LRB4 to LRB5 is going on at this moment. Nope .. it's better: When you purchase a membership you'll get, within time depending on the dates the stuff is sent out, a membership package containing the dice (currently orange) amongst others. If you haven't recieved it yet, post in the 'comments' forum. You can renew after about a year and then get the new dice (hopefully another colour) good luck on the pitch dave Left side menu -> "My Account" -> "Edit your information" If you find yourself on the members list you will see your registered user number. e.g. http://www.bloodbowl.net/user.php?op=userinfo&uname=DoubleSkulls shows mine - 1125. |
