Alan Aid – Tournament Preview

Alan Aid – July 27th Moore, Oklahoma, USA

The tornadoes that tore through Moore Oklahoma on May 20th this year were devastating to not only the hometown of your favorite podcasters(Steve and Scott from Both Down), but also destroyed the home of one of our local Blood Bowl players.  If you’ve listened to Both Down or went to Chaos Cup last year, you may have heard or met Alan. He’s a great guy and he’s needing some help.

While he, his wife and their kids were all safe, their home was a complete loss. Their car was totaled and they lost almost everything they owned. Being the right-thinking people they are, they realize that they made out better than some, but it’s still rough losing all that. We had many people asking how they could help him and that’s where Alan Aid comes in.

In an effort to help Alan out and an excuse to have some much needed fun, the Both Down guys will be throwing a tournament and all proceeds from it will be going to Alan and his family for whatever they may need. It will be held at Wizard’s Asylum in Norman Oklahoma on July 27th and there will be TONS of prizes and free pizza!

Through the generosity of many people, we have had lots of prizes donated to us. From Thrudball (http://www.thrudball.com/) we received a Pitch, a Star Player and a set of Dice. From Custom Dice Bags(http://customdicebags.com/) we’re going to have dice bags to win. That’s just a taste of things being given away. Speaking of taste and given away, there will be pizza from Crooked Crust Pizza(http://crookedcrust.com/) in Norman Oklahoma as well!

There’s been a great outpouring of support from the community already, but the more we can raise, the more we make Alan feel guilty. Then… we force him to go to Chaos Cup and give every one of you a hug! Yes! Free Hugs from Alan are guaranteed! (Alan hasn’t agreed to this, just do it anyway).

Finally, for anyone just donating and not attending, there may be something given away to a lucky person… but you should donate anyways, I shouldn’t have to bribe you… but I’m not above bribing…
